Ryan Seacrest is a famous American television personality, radio personality and producer. He is best known for his own radio show on KIIS FM titled as the On Air with Ryan Seacrest. He is also known for being the host of the popular American singing talent show, The American Idol and also for the countdown show America Top 40.
Early life and education
Ryan Seacrest was born on December 24, 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia to Constance Marie and Gary Lee Seacrest. His father was a real estate lawyer while his mother is a homemaker. Ryan’s love for entertainment and being in the spotlight was something that he had from a very young age. His mother said in several interviews that while children of his age played with G.I Joes and other superheroes, Ryan would take a microphone and practice in front of the family.
Ryan pursued his schooling from the Dunwoody High School and was later offered an internship from the WSTR FM when he was 16 years old. He did his internship alongside Tom Sullivan who portrayed the role of a mentor to him and taught him about it all. It was Sullivan who put on Ryan on his first show after a DJ called in sick and Ryan was later offered the job for the weekend overnight shift in the same FM station.
Ryan enrolled himself in the University of Georgia in the year 1992 and later left the university when he was 19 years old to pursue his career in Hollywood. While in University, Ryan continued his career at a local Athens radio station.

Career
After dropping out of college to “make it big”, Ryan hosted his very first television show Radical Outdoor Challenge on ESPN and later went onto host three other kid’s game series, Gladiator’s 2000, Wild Animal Games and Click. He even hosted the NBC Saturday Night Movie and the famous television show Ultimate Revenge.
Ryan later co-hosted the famous American singing talent show, The American Idol in the year 2002 alongside Brian Dunkleman. This was one of the reason which took helped him gain the national recognition. He even hosted the next season all by himself which turned the spotlight all on him. He was the highest paid television show host during that span of time.
The very next project was ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in which he was the executive producer and also the co-host. Following Dick Clark’s death, Ryan co-hosted the 2013 edition of the show along with Jenny McCarthy and Fergie where he paid tribute to his mentor.
Ryan’s radio show activities started with the program American Top 40 which is a weekly countdown show. He then started hosting the KIIS FM’s morning show On Air with Ryan Seacrest in the year 2004 which replaced the long time show which was hosted by Rick Dee. He is a co-host for ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ since May 2017.
