Kelly Ripa was born on 2nd October, 1970 in Stratford, New Jersey. Her father, Joseph Ripa was a labor union president and bus driver while her mother, Esther, a home maker. She has a younger sister, Linda, who is a famous children’s book author. Kelly studied in Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees Township in New Jersey. During her school days, she was encouraged by her drama teacher to pursue a career in acting. She used to take part in various local theatres. Her talent as an actress was discovered by A.A Milne while she was performing in the play “The Ugly Duckling”. After graduating from school, she enrolled in Camden County College and studied psychology but later dropped out of college to pursue her passion for acting.

In the year 1986, Kelly Ripa got her first break in television world when she became a regular dancer in the reality show “Dancin’ On Air “. At that time she grew an interest to become a new caster and often used to serve as a cast news reporter. In the year 1990, Ripa won the major exposure in her career.
