Nicole Curtis is a popular American reality television host and interior designer who is best known for her work on the HGTV (Home & Garden Television) and DIY (Do It Yourself) Network. Curtis gained nationwide recognition when she started hosting the reality show ‘Rehab Addict’ that airs on both HGTV and DIY. Since its inception in 2010, Curtis has served as the host of the show for seven seasons and is scheduled to host the eighth season soon.
Curtis, who is a licensed realtor started her career by renovating old structures. She started serving as a real estate broker in Minneapolis when she was asked to guest star on the reality show ‘Sweat Equity’ on the DIY network. Early Life and Education
Curtis was born on 20 August 1976 in Lake Orion, Michigan and raised in Detroit, Michigan in a poor family. She is the only daughter of her parents Joanie and Rod Curtis who owned a garbage business. She has one sibling, a brother named Ryan Curtis who is an actor. Curtis’ father was a history enthusiast who used to tell his children stories about historic neighbourhoods across Detroit. She also learned her DIY skills from her mother.
Curtis attended the Lake Orion High school from where she graduated in 1994. In order to support her further education, Curtis worked as a waitress at Hooters. She attended a college in Michigan and later in Florida to pursue a career in law, but dropped out at 19 and established her own cleaning business. She then earned her license as a real agent.
