Mark Sinclair or better known as Vin Diesel is a well-known American actor, producer, screen-writer and director. He is best known for his character in the Fast and the Furious series. Not just that, he is also known for playing the character of Richard B. Riddick in The Chronicles of Riddick Series and Xander Cage in the XXX series . He was the producer in both the aforementioned series.
Not just as an actor, Diesel is also famous for being a voice artist and has lent his voice in the Iron Giant which is a video game representation of The Chronicles of Riddick series and the Guardians of the Galaxy. He is also well known for writing and producing the films Multi- Facial and Strays. He also owns a number of production companies, Racetrack Records, One Race Films are some of them.
Early life and education
Vin Diesel was born as Mark Sinclair on July 18, 1967 in Alameda County in California to Delora Sherleen. Diesel has stated in several reports that he has no clue about his biological father was and says that he belongs to an ambiguous ethnicity. His mother was an astrologer. He also has a twin brother, Paul Sinclair.
Diesel and his brother were raised by his mother and step-father, Irving H. Vincent who belong to a African-American background in the New York City. His step father was a theatre manager and an acting instructor.
It was right from the childhood that Diesel showed his passion in acting and even participated in several plays. He was part of the play, Dinosaur Door which was something totally unexpected for him. He went in along with his mother and brother to the Theatre of the New City to vandalise the place but instead was approached by the artistic director of the theatre who gave him the role instead of calling the police.
Diesel continued to be part of the stage and theatres till the late adolescent stages of his life and later enrolled himself in the Hunter’s College where his writing skills got recognition. It was then that he started his career as a screenwriter.

Career
The 1.82 meter tall Diesel’s film career started off with a small role in the movie Awakenings in the year 1990 following which he wrote, directed and produced his own drama-film Multi-Facial in the year 2004. Since then he has made a number of feature films and short drama films which have gained a lot of praise and appreciation.
He rose to fame with his portrayal of the anti-Riddick character in the movie Pitch Black followed by the roles in the Fast and the Furious series. Apart from these, he has also been part of several other movies, Riddick, The Last Witch Hunter to name a few. He is known for his deep, sharp voice that adds to his personality.
