Molly Line is a reputed American news reporter and broadcast journalist who gained nationwide recognition for her work as a news reporter at the Fox Network in Boston, Massachusetts, serving as a field journalist in the city. Line is tasked with covering breaking news stories from ground zero in Boston and its neighbouring cities. Line began her career at the Fox network in January 2006 and has since completed more than a decade at the network. She is also a former beauty pageant participant having contested in the Miss Virginia beauty pageant.
Line began her career in journalism after her graduation serving in various roles at several local news broadcasting networks in the East Coast of America. She started off with a position at the CBS affiliate network WDTV in Bridgeport, West Virginia and then moved to WXAA, a Fox affiliate in Albany, New York. Line was next hired by WXFT based in Boston, Massachusetts where she served for three years before she was offered a position at the Fox Network, which became the first and only national broadcast network where she serves as a journalist.

Line was born on 31st January 1977 in the American state of West Virginia, as the only child of her parents. She has never spoken about her early and family life in the media, although she claims to have no siblings. Line’s parents raised her in the city of Hambleton in West Virginia in a Christian family. Line studied at the Tucker County High School in Hambleton, West Virginia, graduating in the year 1995. She later attended the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University located in Blacksburg, Virginia and completed her graduation in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the field of Mass Communication, minoring in Political Science. Line participated twice in the Miss West Virginia Beauty Pageant in the years 1997 and 2000.
Career Rise
Line embarked on a journalism career soon after her graduation in 1999 when she was employed by Bridgeport, West Virginia based CBS affiliate WDTV in the position of a news photographer and reporter. Line left WDTV after one year and moved to Albany, New York to serve as a field reporter and studio host for WXXA (Fox 23), an affiliate of Fox network in the city, serving in the position from 2000-2002. She then started serving in the same position at Boston, Massachusetts ‘ WXFT network where she covered the Station nightclub fire which caused the death of 100 people and the sentencing of the infamous shoe bomber Richard Reid. She left WXFT in 2005.
Line began her career at Fox Network in January 2006 serving as a news correspondent for the Fox News Channel with a base in Boston, which proved to be the turning point of her career. Line became known nationally for her coverage of several national significance news events which include the tragic shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut in 2002, the Cartoon Network “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” as well as the arrest and extradition of the infamous Neil Entwistle, a British man who murdered his wife Rachel and their baby girl Lilian in 2006. Line continues to serve at Fox, having completed almost 11 years at the network.

Personal Life
Line met her eventual husband Matt Petrus for the first time while they were both Virginia Tech University students and introduced to one another by common friends. They got back in touch a several years after graduation and started dating. Petrus proposed marriage to Line in June 2011 and the couple announced their marriage the following year in July 2012. They were married at the Jackson Community Church in Jackson, New Hampshire. The couple are parents to one child together, a daughter named Maryn born in 2016.
Petrus works at Athenacare where he serves as an accounts manager at Athenacare. The family resides together in Boston, Massachusetts.
