Katy Mixon is a renowned American film and television actress known for her role on the HBO series Eastbound & Down where she portrayed April Buchanon. Mixon is best recognized for her role on the CBS comedy ‘Mike and Molly’ in which she essayed the role of Victoria Flynn, the sister of Melissa McCarthy’s character Molly Flynn, that proved to be her biggest role till date. In 2016, Mixon started starring in the ABC comedy ‘American Housewife’ playing the lead role of Katie Otto.

Mixon was born on 30 March 1981 in Pensacola, Florida, as one of the seven children of her parents, mother Donna and father Fred Mixon, where she was also raised. Her siblings include 3 sisters named Sarah, Emily and Laura Mixon. She is of White Ethnicity.
Mixon completed her primary and high school education from Pensacola. She is a graduate of the Pensacola Private School of Liberal Arts. Mixon moved to Alabama to study fine arts at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, Birmingham, Alabama. She later attended Carnegie Mellon University’s School Of Drama, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and in 2003, moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally.

After splitting from Deen in 2013, Mixon entered into a relationship with American javelin thrower Breaux Greer in the same year. The couple got engaged in May 2017, after the birth of their son Kingston Saint Greer, who Mixon gave birth to at the age of 36.
