Carrie Marie Underwood is a famous American singer, song writer and actress who is best known for winning the season 5 of The American Idol. She has since then showcased her talent to the world and has always stood up to her fan’s expectations. Early life and education
Carrie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 in Muskogee which is located in Oklahoma to Carole Underwood and Stephen Underwood. Her father worked as a labourer in the nearby saw mill and her mother was an Elementary school teacher. Underwood grew up in the farm owned by his parents which was in the rural parts of Checotah.
She has two siblings, Shanna and Stephanie Underwood who are both older than her. She used to sing from a very young age in the local church and even in some of the popular talent shows in the area. It was when Underwood was 14 that someone arranged an audition for her for the famous label, Capitol Records but the contract was annulled soon after.
Underwood pursued her schooling from the Checotah High School and was also the cheerleader of the class. She later enrolled herself in the Northeastern State University which is in Tahlequah in Oklahoma from where she graduated with a bachelor degree in mass communication in the year 2006.

Underwood was a performer right from her childhood and kept on with it till her University days where she performed in the Northeaster State University’s downtown shows for two years after her graduation. She later auditioned for The American Idol where she won the season and rose to fame.
Following the success of her first album, Underwood released her second album Carnival Ride which was released on October, 2007. The album sold out 527,000 copies just in the first week of its release and also debuted in number 1 in the Billboard chart. Her third studio album, Play On was released on November 03, 2009 followed by her fourth album Blown Away three years later on May 01, 2012. The latest and her fifth album released by her, titled as Storyteller, achieved a number 2 in the Billboard top 200.
