Dana Marie Perino is a political analyst from America. She is usually called a political pundit, who has a wide knowledge about the subject and is from the Republican Political Party. Perino worked under George W. Bush from September2007 to January 2009 as the 27th White House Press Secretary. Being the second female White House Press Secretary after Dee Dee Myers, Perino currently works for Fox News as a political commentator. She is also a book publishing executive at Random House, and serving as the co-host of the network’s talk show The Five.
Early Life and Background
Born on 9th May, 1972, in Evanston, Wyoming, Perino is the daughter of Janice and Leo Perino. She grew up in Denver, Colorado. Her paternal grandparents were immigrants from Italy. She did her schooling from Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 1993. She received the bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and has minor degrees in Spanish and Political Science. She obtained a Master’s degree in public affairs reporting from University of Illinois Springfield (UIS).
During her time at UIS, she also worked as a daily reporter and covered Illinois Capitol. Perino then worked in Washington D.C as a staff assistant for Rep. Scott McInnis and served for four years as the press secretary under Dan Schaefer. In 2001, Perino secured a position in the Department of Justice as a spokesperson. She worked there for two years under that post.
She soon joined the White house as an Associate Director for White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) for strategic advice on message development, public outreach and media relations. From 2005-07, she served as the Deputy Press Secretary.
In 2007, Bush has announced that Perino would be replacing Tony Snow as he resigned due health reasons. This promoted her to the “Assistant to President” Post till 2009, when Bush administration ended.
After her work as the assistant secretary, she continued as the political commentator for Fox News shows. She is a co-host for a show called The Five. In the year 2009, Perino was chosen as a candidate Broadcasting Board of Governors by President Barack Obama. The senate confirmed it on June 2010.

In 2013, the 1.57 meter tall Perino was quoted saying something against the atheists (people who don’t believe in God). She said that she was tired of them and that if they have a problem living under god, they don’t deserve to live here (America).
