Savannah Clark Guthrie is an attorney and a journalist from America, who is working for NBC News. Since 2012, she has been a co-anchor of The Today Show. She joined the NBC News on September 2007 as a correspondent and legal analyst. She regularly reports about the trials that are taking place throughout the country. She has worked as a correspondent for White House from 2008 to 2011 and also been a co-anchor of the MSNBC show, The Daily Rundown in the years 2010 and 2011.

After those roles, she was declared as a co-host alongside Al Roker and Natalie Morales for Today’s Third Hour.

Early Life and Background

Born on 27th December, 1971, in Melbourne, Australia, Savannah was named after her great-grandmother. She was in Australia because her father, Charles Guthrie, was placed there for work. She and her family came back to USA and stayed in Tucson, Arizona after two years. She went to Amphitheater High School located in Tucson.

Guthrie did her under-graduation from University of Arizona and got an honors degree in Journalism in the year 1993. She was also a member of Pi Beta Phi of Arizona Alpha Chapter for her outstanding performance.

Career

Guthrie started with broadcasting at KMIZ an ABC affiliate at Columbia, Missouri. She served there for 2 years before coming back to Tucson. She worked with KVOA in 1995.  She then took a job at WRC-TV in Washington D.C after a five year period in Arizona. While in Washington D.C. she managed to cover the big story related to 11th September, 2001 Pentagon attack and also the Anthrax Attack that took place in the same year.

She worked for several years as a journalist and chose to resume to her studies for higher education from Georgetown University Law Center. She got a Juris Doctor in 2002.

She joined NBC News in 2007 as a correspondent where she got good exposure. She replaced Ann Curry in 2012 as a co-anchor of Today with Matt Lauer.

Apart from broadcast journalism she has done a cameo role as herself in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

Relationships

Guthrie got married to Mark Orchard, a BBC News presenter, in 2005. They soon got divorced in 2009 due to irreconcilable issues. She then had a relationship with Michael Feldman, a communication consultant. They got engaged in 2013 in Turks and Caicos. Soon, they got married in the year 2014 in Tucson. Savannah Guthrie made a surprising announcement just two days after her marriage.  She said to the media that she is 4 months pregnant.

Guthrie gave birth to a beautiful daughter Vale Guthrie Feldman. She announced that she is pregnant with another child, a boy, in June 2016

Controversy

On April 2015, the 1.78 meter tall anchor was under a minor controversy when she didn’t let Rand Paul, an American politician, reply properly in an interview. He apparently said to let him explain or give him a chance to speak about the topic being discussed.
