The reason has been given as ‘irreconcilable differences’ in the report but sources state that the main contention on divorce was Brad Pitt’s parenting style. Apparently, Jolie was perturbed with the way Pitt was handling the kids. His inclination to drink alcohol, indulge in substance abuse and give into angry outbursts and temper issues, was proving to be a negative influence on kids. It is not clear that the couple had drawn a prenuptial agreement, even though sources state that did draw one. According to the agreement, if Pitt cheated on Jolie or walked out on her, she would have total and complete custody of the kids. The money that Angelina would receive, would be pooled into a trust fund for the children. However, one cannot say with complete clarity that a prenuptial agreement was drawn.

The property is valued at $40 million and houses vineyards, olive garden, pine forests, an artificial lake and a moat. The couple also own a historical home in New Orleans, which is valued at $6.5 million, a home in Waldorf Astoria (New York) and another $5million ranch property in Santa Barbara.
