Anna Kooiman is an American news anchor, who has risen to fame by virtue of her talent and hard work. She served as an anchor and a reporter for Fox News Channel. Early Life
Anna was born to a business-based family on February 7, 1984. Her birthplace is Charlotte, North Carolina. Her parents own Southeast Oasis Pool and the Peppermint Forest Christmas Shop. Anna s spent her entire childhood in Charlotte. She went to Myers Park High School. She has been a sports lover from her childhood. In her school days she played soft ball regularly. She completed her high school in 2002. Post schooling, Kooiman joined University of North Carolina and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2005.
Career path
Anna got a head start in her career right from a young age. In 2004, when she was still studying, she started working as sideline reporter for Fox Sports. Even when she was done with her study, she did not give up her work as a reporter. She continued working as a video journalist and a reporter for WWAY in Wilmington. In 2007, she left her hometown and relocated to Toledo, Ohio. Here she began working for WNWO. She served as the morning anchor for the channel. Anna also worked as a reporter alongside US Marshals and helped arresting almost 100 fugitives.
On May 2008, she returned home to Charlotte, North Carolina. Here she started her work as host and reporter for Fox News Rising. It was an important morning talk show that ran four hours in the morning prime time. The show was broadcasted by WCCB. The channel was affiliated by Fox Network back that time.
While working for WCCB, she covered a vast array of news pieces including local news, traffic news, weather, entertainment and many other news stories. In 2011, she became a correspondent for New York based Fox network. She worked for the channel as general assignment reporter. She also covered health and fitness while working as general assignment reporter.
Currently she hosts Fox & Friends. This is a popular morning show which gets aired daily. In the year 2004, Kooiman was criticized by viewers for making a wrong comment on disappearing of flight Air Asia QZ8501. This incident took place in her Fox & Friends show.
The 1.75 meter tall Kooiman is also a noted fitness expert. She has certificates for AFAA and Turbo Kick. She is a marathon enthusiastic. Anna has involved herself in many marathons which includes 2008 Glass City Marathon and Boston Marathon. She also helped raise money for NY Marathon. She has succeeded in raising $55,000, which she donated to Folds of Honor, a charitable organization.
